Framing Creativity as Credibility
The WhiteCoatLab website was designed to establish credibility for a new creative studio and convert first-time visitors into clients. The primary audience was potential clients seeking proof of quality work in photography and film. The challenge: how do you build a site that communicates artistic value while still delivering a clear, business-ready experience?
As Product Manager, I led the end-to-end website development — from discovery through launch. My role was to define the problem, align stakeholders, and build a roadmap that turned a creative vision into a business-ready platform.
I collaborated across design, engineering, and content creation to balance artistic presentation with usability, ensuring clear pathways to conversion.
Research, stakeholder alignment, and strategic planning to define the product vision.
Roadmap creation, milestone management, and cross-functional delivery coordination.
Performance optimization, user feedback integration, and measuring business results.
We brought our vision to life with three design concepts, each offering a unique way to help users engage with their creative services.
First-time users needed to quickly see proof of quality work and professional capability. The concept was built around speed—getting a solution to market fast. While this provided a rapid path to launch, it didn’t fully optimize the mobile experience. Our challenge was to refine usability for smaller screens while preserving credibility and visual quality.
Balance between artistic presentation and straightforward navigation that serves business goals. Aimed to make creative showcase a breeze. This approach allowed customers to review their portfolio each visit in just 3 to 15 minutes. By turning complex creative data into bite-sized, actionable insights, it made staying on top of branding simple and engaging.
Encourage inquiries and bookings without making the site feel too transactional. We reimagined creative management as a brand and portfolio journey. By making services more engaging and goal-driven, we encouraged users to set creative goals, track their progress, and feel a sense of achievement.
We defined a north star: credibility through creativity. Every decision — from structure to aesthetics — was measured against this goal.
Competitor analysis revealed a pattern: visitors wanted fast proof of quality. Portfolios worked best when they were simple, immediate, and unfiltered.
The blueprint: a site where art led the conversation, but pathways to book and connect remained seamless and frictionless.
A clear information flow where portfolio and contact took center stage.
Low-fi explorations balancing bold visuals with effortless navigation.
Moodboards and visual sketches ensuring consistency and brand edge.
Developed a clean, art-forward design that prioritized portfolio imagery to immediately showcase quality and capability.
Implemented clear pathways: portfolio, services, about, contact — each serving specific user needs and business goals.
Built using modern frameworks with responsive layouts ensuring optimal experience across all devices.
Applied optimization strategies to improve discoverability and ensure fast loading times for portfolio content.
Delivered on time through a structured roadmap that included clear milestones for content creation, design implementation, and engineering development.
This project reinforced the value of combining user-centered discovery with a creative-first execution.
As Product Manager, I ensured that artistic expression didn't come at the cost of usability, resulting in a site that both showcased creativity and drove tangible business results.
